About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a reliable driver to support its humanitarian operations in Maiduguri, Borno State. Under the supervision of the Facilities Officer, you will transport staff, consultants, equipment and program goods to various locations such as offices, guest houses, hotels, airports, hospitals and warehouses.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle checks and report any defects immediately.
• Maintain a monthly mileage, fuel consumption and maintenance report.
• Ensure all journeys are authorized and recorded in the logbook.
• Keep vehicle documents, insurance and keys secure when not in use.
• Enforce seat‑belt use and adhere to speed limits and fleet policies.
• Report accidents, incidents or near‑misses promptly.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with at least 12 months of driving experience.
• Ability to conduct vehicle inspections and basic maintenance reporting.
• Strong attention to safety and documentation procedures.
