Distribution Officer – Cold Chain Logistics

About the role

Sayed Farms Limited is seeking a highly organized Distribution Officer to manage the end‑to‑end distribution of frozen and chilled products across Lagos and surrounding regions. The role focuses on maintaining cold‑chain integrity while optimizing routes, fleet usage, and delivery schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily product distribution activities to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage order fulfillment and dispatch operations in collaboration with warehouses and sales teams.
• Schedule delivery routes and optimise transportation resources for cost efficiency.
• Monitor vehicle utilisation, delivery performance and route compliance.
• Maintain cold‑chain integrity during transportation of frozen and chilled goods.
• Coordinate loading and dispatch activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
• Track deliveries, resolve logistics or customer service issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of product movements, delivery schedules and transportation costs.
• Monitor inventory transfers between warehouses, cold rooms and distribution centres.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly distribution performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in distribution, logistics or supply‑chain operations within an FMCG environment.
• Experience with cold‑chain logistics, frozen foods or temperature‑sensitive products is a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of transportation planning, fleet management and distribution operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using inventory management systems.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
