About the role
The Dispensing Officer ensures accurate dispensing of raw and packaging materials for pharmaceutical production, adhering to approved procedures, GMP and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Dispense materials according to Batch Manufacturing Records and requisitions, verifying identity, batch number and expiry.
- Weigh and measure using calibrated equipment, maintain a clean dispensing area and record all activities in logbooks and ERP systems.
- Apply FIFO/FEFO principles, coordinate line clearance with QA, label dispensed items and report any discrepancies.
- Participate in stock counts, audits and inventory reconciliation while ensuring continuous GMP compliance.
Required profile
- OND/HND/B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably in warehouse or dispensing.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, material handling and inventory control practices.
Required skills
- Use of calibrated weighing equipment.
- ERP systems experience (Darwinbox, SAP).
- Application of FIFO/FEFO inventory principles.
