Dispatch Rider – Customer Delivery & Collection

About the role

The Dispatch Rider is responsible for delivering items to customers, handling official documents, and managing bulky packages. This role involves both indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining clear communication with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Inform customers about item availability, shipment dates, methods, and current status.
• Verify delivery addresses by contacting customers directly.
• Pick up items and deliver them safely and on schedule.
• Collect payments for purchased items at the point of delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, expenses, and cash collections.

Required profile

• Minimum Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
• Proven experience as a dispatch rider or in a similar delivery role.
• Familiarity with local routes and ability to navigate efficiently.
• Enjoy motorcycling and possess strong riding skills.
• Good communication, reading, and writing abilities.
• Organizational and multitasking capabilities, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Basic numeracy for handling delivery and expense records.
• Polite demeanor and ability to get along with people.
