Director of Academics (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a Director of Academics to lead the implementation of its evidence‑based accelerated learning system. This senior, remote position will translate learning‑science research into operational excellence across a network of schools worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that integrate learning science with curriculum design, motivational systems, and app development.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observations into ecosystem assessments to identify barriers and recommend actionable solutions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning processes, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight.
• Serve as the external ambassador for 2 Hour Learning, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with ministries of education and senior education leaders.
• Expand and refine the validated academic model, harmonizing execution across school sites and raising leadership standards.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Proven track record of delivering academic strategy at scale and leading high‑performing academic teams.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex learning‑science concepts to senior education stakeholders.
• Strong data‑driven decision‑making and experience conducting ecosystem assessments.
