Digital Collections Manager

About the role

Renmoney is seeking a Digital Collections Manager to lead its loan recovery efforts in a fast‑moving digital lending environment. You will shape collection strategies, guide a team of officers, and leverage technology to maximise repayment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient loan collection strategies tailored to a digital lending environment.
• Segment loan portfolios and prioritize collection actions based on risk exposure and customer behavior.
• Design and monitor automated workflows and digital touchpoints such as SMS, email, and app notifications.
• Supervise and coach collections officers and agents to meet targets, providing regular feedback and training.
• Leverage CRM tools, AI, and analytics platforms to track delinquencies and optimise collection efficiency.
• Collaborate with product, tech, and data teams to continuously refine collection processes.
• Handle escalated customer issues, develop repayment plans, and negotiate settlements where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records, ensure regulatory compliance, and report portfolio performance to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in collections or credit recovery, with at least 2 years in a digital lending or fintech environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer‑service skills.
• Familiarity with local financial regulations and micro‑finance operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital collection tools and CRM systems.
• Advanced Excel and data‑analytics capabilities.
• Experience using AI or analytics platforms to optimise collection processes.
• Knowledge of loan management systems and digital banking platforms.
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
