DevOps Engineer – Full‑time in Lagos

About the role

OPay Nigeria is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join its Lagos team. You will help build and maintain the infrastructure that powers the company’s mobile‑money platform, ensuring reliability, security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain development tools and infrastructure.
• Develop and optimise deployment pipelines, database management, security measures and performance monitoring.
• Test, review and analyse code written by other engineers.
• Protect systems against cybersecurity threats and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose technical issues and deliver software updates and fixes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in development operations and IT infrastructure.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Proficiency with Jenkins, AWS, Terraform and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure).
