Development & Fundraising Director

About the role

The Development & Fundraising Director will lead CADY’s fundraising and development efforts, securing the funding needed to establish the institution and support its long‑term sustainability. The role involves designing and executing strategies across philanthropy, corporate partnerships, private capital, and grant programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement CADY’s overall fundraising and development strategy.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities across philanthropy, corporates, private capital, and grants.
• Build and manage a pipeline of development partners and funding opportunities.
• Develop relationships with major donors and secure significant funding commitments.
• Lead efforts to grow the CADY Endowment Trust and secure seed commitments.
• Coordinate with the finance team to align fundraising activities with CADY’s five‑year financial model.
• Prepare compelling funding proposals, grant applications, and other development materials.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in institutional advancement, fundraising, development finance, or grants.
• Proven track record of securing major gifts or large‑scale grants.
• Strong networks across philanthropy, corporate organisations, development partners, and funding communities.
• Excellent proposal and grant‑writing abilities.
• Ability to manage pipelines, identify, develop, and convert funding opportunities.
• Confidence to engage senior leaders, boards, donors, and funding partners.
