Demand Planner – Manufacturing

About the role

The Demand Planner will develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for Sika's product portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and supporting optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short-, medium-, and long‑term demand forecasts for all product categories.
• Analyze historical sales, project pipelines, market intelligence and commercial activities to improve forecast accuracy.
• Monitor forecast performance, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Finance to align forecasts with business plans.
• Support the S&OP process with accurate demand projections.
• Work with Production, Procurement and Logistics to translate demand into supply and inventory plans.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to reduce stock‑outs, excess and obsolete stock.

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or demand planning within manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced MS Office Suite skills.
• Knowledge of forecasting methodologies and inventory management principles.
