Demand Planner

About the role

The Demand Planner will develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for Sika's product offerings, ensuring alignment with business objectives and supporting product availability and customer service performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts for all product categories and lines.
• Analyze historical sales, project pipelines, customer demand patterns, market intelligence, and commercial activities to improve forecast accuracy.
• Monitor forecast performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance to align forecasts with business plans.
• Support the S&OP process with accurate demand projections and analysis.
• Work with Production, Procurement, and Logistics to translate demand plans into supply and inventory plans.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to reduce stock-outs, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes, forecasting methods, and data quality.

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement within manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and effective stakeholder management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced MS Office Suite skills.
