Data Scientist – Advanced Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to turn raw data into actionable insights that support the Bank’s strategic decisions. The role involves designing analytical solutions, building predictive models, and delivering visualisations that drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop analytical programs using R, SAS, SQL and related tools.
• Collaborate with analysts to design and apply advanced analytic strategies.
• Define ad‑hoc analysis parameters, timelines and quality standards.
• Formulate problem definitions and hypotheses aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct analyses, synthesize findings and present insights to line‑of‑business managers.
• Create innovative, fact‑based solutions for strategic issues.
• Maintain awareness of business trends and link analysis to impact.
• Utilise Tableau and other visualisation tools to build dashboards and reports.
• Support analytical needs across the organization and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of machine‑learning techniques (e.g., gradient‑boosted trees, CNN, RNN, LSTM).
• Proficiency in statistical methods, hypothesis testing, regression and distributions.
• Experience leading or managing complex analytical projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Data‑oriented mindset with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
