About the role

RocketDevs is looking for a talented Data Engineer to join its remote network. You will be matched with client projects where you will design, build, and operate data pipelines and scalable data systems that enable data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain production‑grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
Build and optimise data warehouses on platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift.
Integrate multi‑source data using NoSQL databases and streaming technologies.
Implement data modelling, schema design and governance best practices.
Collaborate with engineering teams using Git, CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker).
Monitor data observability and ensure reliability of data flows.

Required profile

Strong proficiency in Python or another data‑focused language (e.g., Scala, Java).
Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Hands‑on experience designing production ETL/ELT pipelines.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
Experience with at least one major data‑warehousing platform.
Knowledge of distributed processing tools (Spark, Kafka, Flink).
Comfort working on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Demonstrated ability to share a production data system architecture diagram.
