Data Analyst – Full-Time (Abuja)

About the role

The Data Analyst will support MSI Nigeria by producing high‑quality analytical outputs, data summaries and visualisations that inform programme delivery and organisational decision‑making. Working under the Analytics Head, the role involves routine and ad‑hoc analysis, dashboard maintenance and data quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Produce routine analytical reports and summaries on programme performance, service delivery metrics and operational data.
• Clean, validate and prepare datasets from MIS and field data systems for analysis and reporting.
• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualisations.
• Conduct ad‑hoc data queries and analysis to respond to requests from programme teams, management and the Analytics Head.
• Verify the accuracy of all analytical outputs before submission or presentation.
• Perform data quality checks, identifying errors, gaps, duplicates and inconsistencies.
• Document data quality findings and communicate them to the Analytics Head and relevant staff.
• Support the development and application of standard data validation processes across the analytics team.
• Maintain a log of data issues and their resolution status.
• Ensure Power BI dashboards refresh correctly and visualisations remain accurate.
• Make directed amendments to dashboards and reports as requirements change.
• Assist in designing new visualisations that clearly communicate programme and operational trends.
• Document dashboard structure, data sources and calculation logic for all maintained reports.
• Liaise with M&E, MEL and programme teams to understand reporting requirements.
