Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

Tech2grassroots Africa is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join its team in Ilorin, Kwara State. The analyst will protect the organization’s digital infrastructure, including e‑libraries and ICT hubs, by monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network and system activity to identify potential security threats.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analyses on applications and network devices.
• Implement, configure, and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security controls.
• Develop and update security policies and procedures.
• Provide user awareness training and produce regular security reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure data protection.
• Stay informed about emerging threats and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in cybersecurity concepts and frameworks.
• Experience with risk assessment and incident response processes.
• Knowledge of network security, firewall management, and secure architecture.
• Understanding of application security, secure coding principles, and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to analyze security logs and correlate events.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) and a degree in Computer Science or Information Security are preferred.
