About the role

The Cultural and Creative Arts Teacher will join Canon James Pearse Anglican College in Lagos, delivering engaging arts education to boarding students. The role involves planning, teaching, and mentoring within a Christian missionary environment, fostering creativity and cultural appreciation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans for cultural and creative arts subjects.
• Implement the school curriculum and assess student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, attendance, and classroom activities.
• Manage classroom discipline and create a supportive learning atmosphere.
• Mentor and support students, providing guidance beyond academic instruction.
• Utilise teaching aids and resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote school values and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• TRCN registration is an advantage.
• Relevant teaching or boarding school experience preferred.
• Strong character and willingness to work in a Christian missionary boarding school.
