About the role
The Credit and Marketing Officer will play a pivotal role in assessing the creditworthiness of prospective clients while also driving marketing initiatives for loan products. This position bridges risk assessment with client acquisition, ensuring profitable growth for the institution.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate creditworthiness of potential customers.
- Create and maintain credit scoring models for risk assessments.
- Approve or reject loan applications based on data analysis.
- Calculate and set appropriate loan interest rates.
- Negotiate loan terms with new clients.
- Ensure all lending procedures comply with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all company loans.
- Monitor loan repayments and manage bad debt portfolios.
- Review and update the company’s credit policy regularly.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience in a micro‑finance bank or similar financial institution.
- Located in Lagos.
- Graduate from a reputable university.
- Professional qualification is a plus.
