Credit and Loan Documentation Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Credit and Loan Documentation Officer to join Scarlet Finance Limited in Port Harcourt. The role involves reviewing loan applications, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process loan applications and supporting documents.
• Conduct preliminary credit checks and basic financial analysis.
• Verify customer information, income, business details, and repayment capacity.
• Prepare loan documentation, offer letters, and related credit files.
• Ensure all required documents and approvals are complete before disbursement.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date credit files.
• Monitor loan repayment schedules and flag potential delinquencies.
• Support loan recovery and follow‑up activities where necessary.
• Prepare basic credit reports and portfolio updates.
• Ensure compliance with Scarlet Finance credit policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Banking and Finance or a related discipline.
• 1‑3 years of experience in Banking, Credit, Lending, Microfinance, Fintech, or a related financial services environment (advantageous).
• Good understanding of financial statements, credit assessment, and loan documentation.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and customer‑management skills.
