Coordinator, GIS & Data Analytics

About the role

The Senior Coordinator, GIS & Data Analytics will lead the GIS and Data Management Department at eHealth Africa, driving geospatial strategy, data governance and integration across health programmes. The role supports the design and implementation of spatial solutions that inform disease surveillance, immunisation planning, emergency response and health service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop organisational spatial strategies, data standards and GIS system architecture for scalable integration.
• Manage GIS service delivery across programmes, ensuring quality, consistency and actionable insights.
• Translate complex spatial data into geographic intelligence for stakeholders, donors and decision‑makers.
• Engage with senior leadership, technical advisors and field teams to define spatial data needs and deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
• Collaborate with IT, M&E and research teams to embed GIS into planning, monitoring and evaluation processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading GIS teams and delivering geospatial services in a health or development context.
• Strong understanding of geospatial data governance, standards and system architecture.
• Ability to communicate complex spatial information to non‑technical audiences.
• Experience working with partners such as WHO, NPHCDA or NCDC is an advantage.
