Contract Manager (Marine Services)

About the role

The Contract Manager will oversee the delivery of high‑quality marine services for Smit Lamnalco, ensuring that contractual obligations are met while maintaining client satisfaction and strong financial performance. This role acts as a trusted partner throughout the contract lifecycle, driving efficiency and aligning outcomes with both client expectations and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure operations are performed professionally, efficiently, and cost‑effectively.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the client and guarantee full satisfaction of contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular performance review meetings based on pre‑agreed parameters.
• Oversee safety, security, and compliance with company SLIMS policies and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate training and development of on‑shore staff in collaboration with HR.
• Perform annual performance appraisals for shore staff, captains, and chief engineers.
• Provide input to annual budgets, monitor monthly/quarterly financial performance, and ensure budget targets are achieved.

Required profile

• Resident of Nigeria.
• Relevant marine operating experience, preferably sea‑going experience as Master, Chief Officer or Chief Engineer.
• In‑depth knowledge of the marine industry and terminal operations.
• Experience in on‑shore management and personnel supervision.
