Content Marketer
Bayse Markets (formerly Gowagr) · Lagos
Job description
About the role
Bayse Markets is looking for a Content Marketer to shape its editorial voice and create engaging, culturally‑relevant content across sports, entertainment, politics, crypto and more. You will turn complex prediction‑market concepts into simple stories that resonate with everyday audiences.
Key responsibilities
- Develop original content ideas and campaigns that make Bayse relevant, memorable, and part of everyday cultural conversations.
- Create sharp, engaging content around sports, entertainment, politics, crypto, social media, pop culture, and other events people care about.
- Turn prediction markets and trading concepts into simple, interesting stories that anyone can understand.
- Own Bayse’s editorial voice across social media, newsletters, blogs, product communications, campaigns, and community channels.
- Build distinctive content formats, recurring series, and creative properties that audiences can associate with Bayse.
- Spot emerging conversations early and find authentic ways for Bayse to participate in or shape them.
- Collaborate with designers, videographers, creators, and other marketers to produce videos, carousels, graphics, memes, explainers, and other platform‑native content.
- Work closely with Product and Growth to turn launches, customer insights, market activity, and company milestones into compelling narratives.
- Manage Bayse’s social presence across X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Work with influencers and creators to develop collaborations that feel credible, culturally relevant, and native to their audiences.
- Study audience behaviour and content performance to understand what resonates, then use those insights to make the next idea stronger.
- Experiment continuously with new formats, narratives, channels, and distribution strategies.
Required profile
- At least four years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, social media, creative strategy, or digital marketing.
- Chronically online, deeply curious, and naturally attentive to cultural conversations.
- Strong cultural instincts across sports, entertainment, politics, internet culture, and current affairs.
- Ability to find interesting angles in ordinary announcements or trending topics.
- Excellent writing skills: clear, thoughtful, distinctive, and adapted to platform and audience.
- Understanding that great content should achieve a purpose such as starting a conversation, changing perception, teaching, or driving action.
- Comfortable testing unconventional ideas and pushing creative boundaries.
- Data‑driven: uses data to sharpen instincts, evaluate work, and improve future content.
- Proactive ownership: can take an idea from rough thought to fully executed campaign.
- Comfortable in a fast‑moving environment where priorities shift quickly.
