Consultant Cardiologist

About the role

Redeemer’s Health Village is expanding its multidisciplinary team and seeks a highly skilled Consultant Cardiologist. The role involves delivering specialist cardiovascular care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency and consultative settings while supporting the growth of the cardiology department.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiovascular diseases.
• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests and Holter monitoring.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Provide inpatient, outpatient, emergency and consultative cardiology services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health and disease prevention.
• Engage in teaching, mentoring and continuous professional development activities.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Fellowship in Cardiology (FWACP, FMCP or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification).
• Current licence to practise medicine.
• Minimum of 3 years post‑specialisation experience (advantageous).
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent diagnostic skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice, patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
