Construction Storekeeper

About the role

The Construction Storekeeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of all construction materials, tools, and equipment on site. This role ensures smooth project execution by maintaining accurate inventory, minimizing waste, and supporting site teams with timely material supply.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, tools, and equipment delivered to the site.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory logs daily.
• Issue materials to workers and supervisors according to approved requisitions.
• Monitor stock levels and raise purchase requests to avoid delays.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with records.
• Ensure proper storage and handling to prevent damage, theft, or deterioration.
• Coordinate with procurement on deliveries, returns, and supplier documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly store reports to the site manager.

Required profile

• Minimum OND/HND in Store Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience as a storekeeper in construction or real‑estate.
• Solid understanding of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
