Computer Science Summer Internship – Remote

About the role

Brave is offering a three‑month, fully remote summer internship for PhD‑level students. Interns will join a research‑focused team that builds privacy‑preserving, high‑performance web technologies used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms in areas such as machine learning, federated learning, and natural language processing.
• Conduct performance evaluations and privacy‑preserving analytics for browser features.
• Collaborate with academic groups and internal engineers to solve hard, research‑driven problems.
• Develop prototypes that may be shipped to Brave’s global user base.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong interest in privacy, security, and web technologies.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Willingness to tackle complex, research‑intensive problems.
