Compliance Officer – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

The Compliance Officer will ensure that Jawa International Limited meets all legal, regulatory and industry requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing. Working within the Quality Assurance department, the role focuses on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance, risk mitigation and product safety.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the QA team to verify that manufacturing processes adhere to GMP and other regulatory standards.
• Plan and conduct internal compliance audits across production, quality control and distribution.
• Prepare audit reports, highlight non‑compliances and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor CAPA implementation to guarantee timely closure of identified issues.
• Develop, maintain and update compliance policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Provide guidance to employees on compliance matters and ensure proper documentation.
• Design and deliver training programs on GMP, regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Maintain training records and verify that mandatory training is completed.
• Identify compliance risks, perform risk assessments for new projects or products and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary contact during regulatory inspections and audits.

Required profile

• Reports to the Compliance Manager.
• Full‑time position based at the Isolo Industrial Estate in Lagos.
