Compliance and Risk Analyst

About the role

The Compliance and Risk Analyst will design and maintain a risk‑management framework and oversee internal audit and compliance activities across Comercio Partners Limited. The role ensures that financial records, trading operations and asset‑management processes adhere to regulatory standards and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Support the definition of internal audit scope and develop annual audit plans.
• Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation and transaction records to ensure completeness, accuracy and reliability.
• Review finance postings on Symplus for timeliness and compliance with accounting principles.
• Reconcile the Asset Register monthly and keep system records aligned with physical assets.
• Monitor bank accounts, approve transfers, and ensure proper documentation of payments.
• Track monthly bank reconciliation statements against the general ledger.
• Ensure all CP trading deals are booked on TIMS and authorized by front‑ and back‑office on the same day.
• Conduct daily reviews of high‑risk business units and promptly escalate policy breaches.
• Prepare and present audit reports, document processes and draft audit‑finding memoranda.
• Identify loopholes and risks early, recommending mitigation measures and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Provide independent advice to guarantee legality, validity and achievement of business goals.
• Perform follow‑up audits to monitor management actions and close audit issues.
• Engage stakeholders to stay updated on sector rules, regulations and best practices.

Required profile

• Ability to identify loopholes and risks before they materialise.
• Capability to prepare, present and document audit findings.
• Proactive communication with supervisors and all business units.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with internal audit procedures and risk assessment.
• Understanding of bank reconciliation and asset‑register management.
