Commercial Growth Representative – Tech Startup

About the role

The Commercial Growth Representative will join a fast‑growing tech start‑up that provides technology solutions across Africa. Reporting to the COO/CEO, you will own the end‑to‑end sales process, from prospecting to closing, and ensure a smooth handoff to the Talent team for developer placement.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify potential clients using LinkedIn, Twitter, AngelList, Crunchbase and other startup databases.
• Build and maintain prospect lists and lead records in the CRM.
• Execute outbound outreach with cold emails, LinkedIn DMs and follow‑up sequences.
• Conduct discovery calls, present services, negotiate and close deals.
• Coordinate client handoff to the Talent team for successful developer delivery.
• Represent the company at online and offline tech events, capture leads and nurture post‑event relationships.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior leadership and relay market feedback.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in tech, recruitment or SaaS.
• Proven ability to generate leads, conduct cold outreach and close contracts.
• Excellent written English and strong communication skills.
• Self‑starter with a results‑driven mindset and ability to work independently.
