Coding & Game Development Instructor for Teens

About the role

Join Digital Skills Centre as a part‑time Coding & Game Development Instructor for teenagers (ages 10‑19) during the August Teen Tech Bootcamp. You will lead hands‑on sessions that teach game creation, web development, and basic app concepts using beginner‑friendly tools.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, interactive coding classes for teens.
• Teach game development and web/app basics through practical projects.
• Guide students in building simple websites, web apps, and beginner games.
• Foster creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem‑solving.
• Monitor learner progress, give constructive feedback, and maintain an inclusive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and basic Python.
• Experience in web development or beginner‑level app development.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring young people.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to simplify technical concepts for beginners.
• Previous teaching experience is a plus but not mandatory.
