Client Manager – Placement (Energy & Construction)

About the role

The Client Manager (Placement) in the Energy & Construction division drives sustainable business growth by combining technical insurance expertise with trusted client relationships. You will understand client needs deeply and deliver tailored placement solutions while supporting existing facilities and key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor reinsurance market developments and adjust placement strategies accordingly.
• Manage operational and strategic market relationships, maintaining a consistent, ‘can‑do’ attitude.
• Assess client risk profiles, advise on coverage, pricing, and retention strategies.
• Obtain quotations, structure insurance programmes, and manage renewals in line with team strategy and Lockton procedures.
• Prepare coverage documentation, placement slips, and ensure timely invoicing.
• Escalate issues on new accounts or renewals and resolve client queries with insurers and third‑party providers.
• Coordinate global insurance programmes and liaise with the worldwide producer network.
• Collaborate with Lockton’s retail team on proposals and programme structuring.
