Civil Engineer - Site Supervision

About the role

Seal Energy is hiring a Civil Engineer on a contractor basis in Bayelsa, Nigeria. The role covers planning, coordinating and supervising civil construction and site activities, ensuring work meets approved designs, quality standards, timelines and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise civil construction and site activities.
• Interpret engineering drawings, designs and specifications.
• Monitor contractors, materials, workmanship and project progress.
• Ensure work is completed according to approved designs, quality standards, timelines and budget.
• Conduct site inspections and identify and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare site reports, progress updates and project documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants and other project teams.

Required profile

• HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in civil construction or project/site engineering.
• Practical site supervision experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and quality control.
• COREN registration or a relevant professional certification is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
