Chinese Translator

About the role

Mazeltov Chemical Limited is looking for a proficient Chinese Translator to ensure accurate communication of technical, legal and business documents across its operations in Nigeria. The role supports daily interactions between Chinese‑speaking management and local staff, helping the company maintain safety, compliance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Translate technical manuals, legal contracts, business correspondence and marketing materials while preserving original meaning.
• Review translated texts for correct grammar, syntax and consistent terminology.
• Transcribe audio or video files from Chinese dialects into readable English (or vice‑versa).
• Create and maintain bilingual glossaries for engineering, medical or legal terminology.
• Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences and negotiations.
• Explain cultural nuances, idioms and business etiquette to facilitate smooth collaboration with Chinese partners.

Required profile

• Male candidate fluent in both Chinese and English.
• Holder of HSK Level 4 or higher.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate comfortably with Chinese speakers in everyday situations.
• Preferably studied abroad in China or has experience in factory management.

Required skills

• HSK Level 4 or above.
• Accurate written translation and proofreading.
• Audio/video transcription from Chinese to English and vice‑versa.
• Glossary development for technical terminology.
