Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will lead financial strategy, performance and governance for a dynamic energy & utilities company, reporting directly to the Chairman and Board.

Key responsibilities

• Drive financial performance, profitability, cash flow and capital optimisation.
• Evaluate trading opportunities, pricing, margins, risks and overall transaction profitability.
• Provide strategic advice on growth, investments, partnerships and business expansion.
• Strengthen financial governance, controls, compliance and risk management.
• Lead trade finance, treasury, working capital and banking relationships, including letters of credit and bank guarantees.

Required profile

• HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• ACA/ICAN, ACCA, CFA or equivalent certification (mandatory).
• Minimum 8 years progressive experience, with at least 3 years in senior finance leadership.
• Experience in downstream oil & gas, energy/commodity trading or related sector is preferred.
• Proven ability to work with Boards, investors, banks and strategic stakeholders.
