Chef De Partie

About the role

Capinta Consult Limited is hiring a full-time Chef De Partie in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The post manages the day-to-day running of an assigned kitchen section, preparing meals according to recipes and supervising the cooks and assistants working there.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of an assigned kitchen section
• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation
• Supervise Cooks and Kitchen Assistants assigned to the section
• Monitor ingredients and keep adequate stock levels
• Ensure proper portion control and minimise food waste
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the section
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections during busy service periods and ensure meals are served on schedule
• Report equipment faults and ingredient shortages, and follow instructions from the Head Chef and Executive Chef

Required profile

• Professional culinary training or relevant cooking experience
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen is required
• Ability to manage a kitchen section independently
• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Good cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures
• Strong time-management and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines
