CCR Operator – Central Control Room

About the role

The Central Control Room (CCR) Operator monitors all sections of a cement plant’s production line from a central location. The role ensures stable equipment operation, safety, and compliance with standards while providing real‑time guidance to patrollers, operators, and shift managers.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the approved production plan and monitor plant processes to maintain stable operation.
• Log process data at required intervals and report operational activities.
• Provide continuous feedback and direction to shift coordinators, engineers, patrollers and operators.
• Identify failures or potential trouble spots and coordinate problem‑solving actions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot operating issues, either independently or with senior staff.
• Review plant automation systems and suggest improvements based on best practices.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Shift Coordinator.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent).
• For trainee role: minimum 1 year experience in cement or related chemical process industry.
• For CCR Operator role: minimum 3 years experience in cement CCR operations or similar process industry.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of cement production processes.
• Familiarity with plant automation and control systems.
• Ability to monitor and interpret process parameters and standards.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities.
