Cost Estimating Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Cost Estimating Lead to drive advanced cost planning, scheduling and reporting for large‑scale engineering and oil & gas projects in Nigeria. The role reports to senior management and works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial discipline and project success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sophisticated project cost planning, scheduling and reporting frameworks.
• Analyze complex project data to identify risks, opportunities and cost‑optimization strategies.
• Lead negotiations and influence cross‑functional teams to resolve budgetary issues.
• Provide strategic consulting to senior management on process efficiency, quality assurance and long‑term budgeting.
• Mentor supervisory staff and promote technical excellence and best practices.
• Communicate cost advice to internal project teams and external clients, ensuring transparency.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in project cost and schedule estimating within engineering or oil & gas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Proven mastery of advanced cost estimating software and project management tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead in high‑pressure, on‑site environments while maintaining quality standards.
