Cashier – On-site (Calabar)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cashier to join our team in Calabar. This full-time, on-site position supports our mission of building sustainable communities by ensuring smooth and accurate point-of-sale operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily POS transactions, receive payments, issue receipts and maintain an accurate cash drawer.
• Reconcile cash at the start and end of each shift and process various payment methods.
• Record all sales correctly in the system and respond to customer inquiries with product or service information.
• Escalate any issues according to company procedures.
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized and compliant with cash-handling policies.
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient day-to-day operations.

Required profile

• Strong numeracy and attention to detail when handling cash.
• Excellent customer service attitude with clear communication.
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn digital payment tools.
• Reliability, honesty and integrity in following financial policies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customers.
• University graduate (or equivalent); prior cashier or retail experience is a plus.
