Cashier

About the role

The Cashier will manage all financial transactions at Soteria Eye Clinic, ensuring accurate billing for patients and proper handling of payments from individuals, HMOs, and corporate clients. This role supports the finance team by maintaining up‑to‑date records and providing timely reports.

Key responsibilities

• Receive payments via cash, POS, bank transfer, and verify HMO/Corporate eligibility.
• Process medical bills, submit them to insurance providers, and ensure compliance with SEC and corporate tariffs.
• Log incoming payments in the ECMS system and reconcile internal balances daily.
• Handle patient enquiries about HMO eligibility, send eligibility emails, and manage account balances.
• Issue receipts, send daily/weekly reports to the Finance Manager, and remind patients of outstanding bills.
• Ensure cash is deposited at the bank each day and address billing complaints.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: OND.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar cashier or billing role.
• Ability to work onsite in Lagos (Lekki area).

Required skills

• POS (Point of Sale) system operation.
• ECMS (Electronic Cash Management System) usage.
