Cargo Supervisor – Nigeria

About the role

As a Cargo Supervisor you will be the main point of contact for operational matters, responsible for managing the cargo warehouse operation and freighter ramp at the appointed stations. You will plan and oversee key activities, routes and products, ensuring performance requirements such as OTP, eAWB, Cargo iQ, SLA’s and FAB are met.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and improve freighter OTP by coordinating ramp and supervising freighter operations.
• Support, deliver and plan complex cargo loads for passenger and freighter flights.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, coaching and advice to GHA staff.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, security and regulatory compliance.
• Establish best practices to achieve revenue budgets, cost savings and compliance.
• Adapt to shift requirements and perform cross‑functional duties.
• Execute ad‑hoc tasks at other stations to support initiatives.
• Manage special services and VIP shipments from acceptance to delivery.
• Handle finance tasks such as raising PR, PO & GRN in SAP and verifying supplier invoices.
• Escalate medium or higher‑level risks to appropriate management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years cargo operations experience or equivalent capacity with a high school diploma.
• Familiarity with cargo handling processes, procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Understanding of computer airfreight specifications.
• Industry training in Dangerous Goods, Cargo Operations, Security, Quality or Auditor training is an advantage.
