CAD Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled CAD Engineer to join our product and engineering team at ZICS, a leading Nigerian manufacturer of doors, gates and custom furniture. You will create precise 2D and 3D designs for smart‑enhanced furniture and security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs for doors, gates, furniture and smart product components.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Translate customer and architectural requirements into technical drawings.
• Maintain CAD libraries and design documentation.
• Support CNC file preparation and integrate IoT elements where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of CAD design experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and fabrication methods.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp or Fusion 360.
• Experience preparing files for CNC machining.
