C Developer – Embedded Systems

About the role

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking an experienced C Developer to join its IT team. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance C modules for embedded systems, ranging from kernel‑level components to reusable libraries that integrate with higher‑level languages.

Key responsibilities

• Design and write clean, maintainable C code.
• Develop kernel modules and libraries for embedded platforms.
• Implement and optimise solutions for quality, performance and reliability.
• Identify bottlenecks, bugs and integration issues.
• Test code thoroughly and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Create reusable components that work seamlessly with Java, Go, Node.js, Python and other languages.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a C Developer.
• Strong proficiency in C with in‑depth knowledge of STL and Boost.
• Working knowledge of at least one OOP language (Java, Python, C# or C++).
• Experience with embedded systems and low‑level hardware interactions.
• Familiarity with debugging/analysis tools such as Valgrind and Lint.
• Solid understanding of version‑control systems (Git, SVN or Mercurial).
• Strong systems design and problem‑solving abilities.
