C# Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time, on‑site C# backend developer based in Benin City. The developer will design, implement, and maintain server‑side logic and APIs using C# and related technologies, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain server‑side logic and RESTful APIs using C# and .NET.
• Write clean, testable, and secure code, integrate data storage solutions, and optimise existing services.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders to refine requirements, estimate work, and deliver features on schedule.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and help improve development workflows and standards.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer‑science principles such as algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Hands‑on experience in back‑end web development using C#.NET, RESTful APIs, and database integration.
• Proficiency in software‑development practices including version control, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Solid programming skills with a focus on clean code, performance optimisation, and secure coding standards.
• Applied knowledge of OOP concepts and design patterns in production systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively on‑site in Benin City, communicate clearly, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
