Business Operations Lead

About the role

The Business Operations Lead will drive revenue growth across both physical and digital sales channels for a fast‑moving fashion and FMCG retailer in Lagos. You will oversee store operations, lead a multidisciplinary team, and ensure a seamless omnichannel customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to increase customer acquisition, retention, and overall sales performance.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate sales attendants, shop assistants, inventory staff and business development personnel.
• Oversee daily store operations, optimise staffing schedules and identify process‑improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate online sales activities on the company website, Instagram and WhatsApp Business, ensuring accurate product listings and timely order fulfilment.
• Work with the Inventory Manager to maintain optimal stock levels, forecast demand and manage procurement.
• Track sales metrics, prepare profitability reports and manage departmental budgets.
• Ensure exceptional customer service across all channels and resolve escalated complaints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail operations, store management or business operations.
• Experience in fashion, textile, luxury retail or lifestyle sectors is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
