Business Manager

About the role

The Business Manager will drive the company’s growth by shaping strategy, expanding market presence and overseeing commercial performance. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role combines business development, sales leadership and cross‑functional coordination within the construction and geospatial technology sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business strategies aligned with corporate goals, identifying new markets and revenue streams.
• Partner with the sales team to meet revenue targets, manage leads, pipeline, proposals and closed deals.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, leading negotiations and ensuring satisfaction.
• Coordinate department heads, monitor targets, and resolve operational challenges to keep projects on track.
• Identify and negotiate corporate, government and institutional partnerships, maintaining a partner database.
• Monitor financial performance with Finance, keep activities within budget and evaluate commercial viability of opportunities.
• Prepare regular performance reports for the Managing Director covering revenue, sales, pipeline and strategic initiatives.
• Support marketing initiatives by collaborating on campaigns and measuring commercial impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing or Management (Master’s a plus).
• Preferred certifications: ICAN, ACCA, CIM, CIPM, CIBN, PMP, PRINCE2, CBAP or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business management, development, sales or commercial management; team‑leadership experience; experience in geospatial/tech/surveying is advantageous.
