Business Development Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Officer to source new clients, develop and manage existing client relationships, and drive sales and revenue in the professional audio, lighting, stage and video solutions market.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire clients across events, hospitality, education, houses of worship, entertainment and other sectors.
• Manage active client portfolio to ensure retention, repeat business and revenue growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, facility managers, technical directors and procurement teams.
• Identify clients’ audio‑visual, acoustic, lighting, and staging needs and present tailored solutions.
• Manage the sales cycle from prospecting and product demonstration to closing and project execution.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved limits.
• Drive sales volume, revenue, and client retention against set targets.
• Identify opportunities across equipment sales, installation, servicing, acoustic and event production services.
• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and client records; provide market and competitor intelligence.

Required profile

• 3‑4+ years experience in business development, sales or marketing.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to generate leads and close deals.
• Audio‑visual engineering experience is an added advantage.
