Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive market expansion, generate leads, and build strategic partnerships for Makarios Consulting Services in the beauty and FMCG sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new markets, generate leads, conduct cold calls and convert prospects into customers.
• Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and sales.
• Coordinate digital marketers, videographers and content creators to ensure consistent brand messaging.
• Negotiate and manage partnerships with supermarkets, beauty spas, pharmacies, retailers and influencers.
• Plan and execute product activations, sampling campaigns and in‑store promotional events.
• Develop customer experience strategies to improve satisfaction, retention and loyalty.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and emerging market opportunities.
• Track sales performance, campaign results and partnership outcomes, and prepare regular reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, digital marketing or brand management, preferably in beauty, skincare, cosmetics, personal care, FMCG or retail.
• Proven ability to develop and execute digital marketing strategies and coordinate marketing teams.
• Experience in B2B sales, cold calling, lead generation and partnership development.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with social media management tools.
• Experience with digital marketing analytics platforms.
