Business Development Officer

About the role

Our client, a leading medical diagnostics and healthcare organization in Lagos, is seeking a proactive Business Development Officer to drive growth, build strategic partnerships and expand the client base.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across hospitals, clinics, HMOs, corporate organisations and other healthcare providers.
• Drive client acquisition, achieve revenue and referral targets, and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and quotations, negotiate and close deals while nurturing long‑term relationships.
• Maintain strong relationships with doctors, administrators and corporate partners through regular visits and follow‑up.
• Execute marketing campaigns, represent the organisation at events and support digital marketing initiatives.
• Conduct market research, monitor industry trends and provide intelligence reports.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM, prepare regular performance reports and support onboarding and retention activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in business development, sales or healthcare marketing.
• Previous experience in medical diagnostics, hospitals, laboratories or HMO environments preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and business development targets.
