Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive growth of Power Ark’s cosmetics portfolio by identifying new customers and expanding the distributor network across Lagos. You will act as the face of the brand, presenting products to retailers, salons, supermarkets and other channel partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential customers, retailers, wholesalers, beauty stores, salons, supermarkets and distributors.
• Recruit new distributors and nurture relationships with existing ones.
• Present and promote cosmetics products confidently to prospective clients.
• Follow up on leads, convert inquiries into sales and achieve assigned sales and distributor acquisition targets.
• Conduct market visits, uncover new sales opportunities and provide regular market feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer contacts and distributor accounts.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cosmetics, beauty, skincare, FMCG or retail sales.
• Strong communication, persuasion and negotiation abilities.
• Confident in approaching diverse customer types and working with minimal supervision.
• Well‑groomed, presentable and professional appearance.
• Target‑driven, proactive and able to meet sales quotas.

Required skills

• Proven sales and distributor recruitment experience in the cosmetics or FMCG sector.
