Business Development Manager - Spare Parts & Maintenance

About the role

Express Agency is recruiting a Business Development Manager in Lagos (Marina) to drive sales of spare parts and maintenance services in an assigned region. The role covers lead generation, client relationship management and technical consultation with B2B buyers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to meet sales targets for spare parts and services in the assigned region.
• Identify and recruit new B2B clients in manufacturing plants, oil & gas, power generation, FMCG and construction.
• Generate leads through site visits, networking, industry events and cold calling.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations on spare part specifications and maintenance contracts.
• Build long-term relationships with Plant Managers, Procurement Officers and Maintenance Engineers, and conduct regular site visits.
• Negotiate contracts and close agreements while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Advise clients on spare parts selection and compatibility, and work with the internal technical team on accurate quotes and proposals.
• Maintain CRM records of sales activities, pipelines and client interactions, and prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports.

Required profile

• B.Eng or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering; M.Eng or MBA is a strong advantage.
• 5-7 years after qualification in business development, sales or technical sales in electrical engineering, industrial automation or the power sector.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding B2B sales targets.
• Direct experience selling electrical/mechanical spare parts or maintenance services.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical components such as motors, switchgear, drives and transformers, and mechanical parts.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

What we offer

• Remuneration of NGN 600,000-800,000 per month, negotiable based on experience.
