About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Business Development Manager to join our team in Lagos. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building client relationships and driving revenue growth in the oil and gas/EPC sector for Stat‑Marine.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and potential clients in the oil and gas/EPC industry in Nigeria.
- Follow up on identified opportunities and win new business in the oil and gas sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including operators, EPC contractors, and government agencies.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
- Lead preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and pre‑qualification documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and local regulations.
- Represent Stat‑Marine at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote services and enhance brand visibility.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable projects while aligning with company objectives.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to Nigeria’s local content regulations and promote partnerships with local vendors and communities.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights to senior management.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing or related field; Master’s or MBA is a plus.
- 10‑15 years of experience in business development, sales or client management within the oil and gas or EPC industry in Nigeria.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian oil and gas sector, including upstream, midstream, downstream operations and EPC project execution.
- Familiarity with bid preparation, tendering processes and contract negotiation in the oil and gas/EPC industry.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM software.
