Business Development Manager

About the role

SENCE (Skill Enhancement Centre) is hiring a Business Development Manager in Lagos, Marina. The role covers business development, sales and marketing strategy, leading bids and proposals, and growing revenue through new business and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development, sales and marketing strategies.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Lead bids, prepare proposals and negotiate contracts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Drive customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for business expansion.
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports and performance analyses.
• Represent the company at industry events, networking forums and client meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics or a related field; a relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in Sales, Business Development or Bid Management within the Logistics/Freight industry, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of securing high-value business opportunities and driving revenue growth.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain and customer relationship management.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, leadership and communication skills.
