Business Development Manager

About the role

STAT Marine Nigeria Limited is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth in the oil and gas/EPC sector. You will identify new opportunities, build client relationships, and lead bid processes to secure high‑value contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to uncover new business opportunities and emerging trends in Nigeria’s oil and gas/EPC market.
• Follow up on leads, win new business, and expand STAT Marine’s market share.
• Build and maintain relationships with operators, EPC contractors, and government agencies.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue targets.
• Lead preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and pre‑qualification documents, ensuring compliance with client and local regulations.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure profitable projects.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and operations teams for seamless delivery.
• Ensure adherence to Nigeria’s local content regulations and promote partnerships with local vendors.
• Provide regular reports on pipeline status and market insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing or related field (Master’s/MBA a plus).
• 10‑15 years of business development, sales or client‑management experience in the oil & gas or EPC industry in Nigeria.
• Strong understanding of upstream, midstream and downstream operations and EPC project execution.
• Familiarity with bid preparation, tendering processes and contract negotiation.
